The city of Würzburg now has the highest seven-day incidence in all of Bavaria. On Friday morning, the RKI reported a value of 436.4 – Würzburg replaces Schweinfurt as the region with the fastest spread of the virus.
Significant increase over the holidays in the Würzburg area
It can be seen in general: Over the Christmas holidays and the turn of the year, Corona in Main Franconia has spread heavily in some cases. Especially in the city and district of Würzburg, the incidence has more than doubled compared to Christmas Eve. Before the holidays, the incidence in Würzburg was just over 200.
In the Kitzingen district it rose from 170 to just under 240. In the Main-Spessart and Schweinfurt districts there was only a slight increase. The incidence fell in the city of Schweinfurt.
