The trend in corona infections in Mainfranken is pointing upwards. In a weekly comparison, the numbers have risen sharply almost everywhere. Only in the city of Schweinfurt did the incidence decrease somewhat.
The district of Schweinfurt currently has the highest incidence with 510.2. It is followed by the city of Schweinfurt with a value of 442.6.
The city and the district of Würzburg are currently tied at around 352. However, compared to last Monday, the incidences increased significantly.
With 392.6, the Kitzingen district is just before the 400 mark. The Main-Spessart district currently has the lowest virus spread with an incidence of 258.

Utilization of the intensive care units continues to rise
The utilization of intensive care beds in the region has increased further. All intensive care places in the city of Schweinfurt are now occupied. There are currently 14 free intensive care beds in the region, a week ago there were almost twice as many. More than every fourth intensive care patient in Würzburg, Kitzingen, Main-Spessart and Schweinfurt is being treated for Covid, a high in recent months. There are a total of 47 Covid intensive care patients, 25 of whom have such severe courses that they have to be artificially ventilated.
