The corona incidences in Mainfranken are falling again – at least slightly. On Tuesday, the city and district of Würzburg fell below the threshold of 1,000 for the first time since mid-July. The Robert Koch Institute reports a value of 850 for the city, the incidence in the district is 923.
A total of around 3,100 people from Würzburg were infected with Corona within a week – that’s 700 fewer than in the previous week. Most of the new infections come from the district. Höchberg is the leader there with 125 new cases. 1,365 people were infected in the city area – especially in the districts of Heidingsfeld, Heuchelhof and Rottenbauer.
In the Main-Spessart district, the value is 802. The incidence is highest in the Kitzingen district – at 1,037.
Who is infected?
In addition to young adults in the region, it is currently mainly the 35 to 59 year olds who are infected with Corona. This is particularly evident in the city of Würzburg. Here the incidence in this age group is 1,045.
