After more than a week without corona deaths in Würzburg, the district office reported another deceased on Thursday. It is an over 90-year-old resident of the Juliusspital Seniorenstift who died in a clinic. It is the 59th Corona death in Würzburg and the 109th in the region.
New infections have also been reported from all counties. A new corona case has occurred in Würzburg, Kitzingen, Main-Spessart and Schweinfurt:
In Würzburg, the number of proven corona infections rose to 869. 719 of them survived the disease. 91 Würzburgers are still acutely ill. At home, 122 people are still in quarantine; 2,536 people have already lifted it.
In Kitzingen there are now 186 detected infections with the new case. The majority of these, 170 people, are considered cured. 13 people are currently ill. Home quarantine is currently arranged for 48 people.
Main-Spessart also announced another positive corona test on Thursday. The number of cases occurred there rises to 152. Almost all, namely 142 affected, have survived the infection. Four people are still carrying the virus there. 27 people are under domestic quarantine.
In Schweinfurt the number of corona cases climbs to 670. 524 people with a positive corona test are considered cured. 105 city and district residents are still fighting the virus. 243 people are currently in quarantine at home.
In total, the virus has now been detected in 1,877 people in the region.
