The “Day of the Open Garden Door” in Mainfranken makes it possible: next Sunday (June 26th) many hobby gardeners in the districts of Würzburg, Main-Spessart and Kitzingen will open their colorful little kingdoms to visitors. Between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., flower and plant lovers can view a total of 36 different themed gardens in the region. In Holzkirchen in the district of Würzburg, a garden festival is being celebrated under the motto “East meets West”, in the Astheim district of Volkach, a kitchen garden in the inner courtyard of the Kartause is enticing, and in Main-Spessart, the focus is on Himmelstadt: there are 15 open gardens to admire.
