Madrid, Dec 15 (EFE) .- The Governing Council of the Community of Madrid is going to process tomorrow, Wednesday, a decree to increase the duration of educational concerts in the region from six to ten years.
The regional president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has advanced it after signing a general protocol of action with the large distribution areas to promote the consumption of food in Madrid at Christmas.
Díaz Ayuso explained that, according to the Organic Law of Education, the autonomous communities can increase the duration of the concerts of the schools, which until now in Madrid was for six years.
“We have decided that to give greater security to the families that opt for the concerted one we are going to extend these concerts up to ten years, so that they will not expire in two, but within six,” said the head of the Madrid Executive .
In this way, “families will have more time to continue opting freely for this educational model,” Ayuso pointed out, in line with his strategy to shield concerted education from the imminent approval of the Celaá Law.
The regional president has pointed out that “the duration of compulsory education is currently ten years” and that is why it is “very successful” to extend this period of validity of the concerts to give more guarantees to Madrid families.
Díaz Ayuso has shown his desire to guarantee the freedom of choice of families in educational matters and has expressed the “firm commitment” of the regional government to liberal policies “in all areas of life”, in health, in commerce and in the business sphere.
He has stated that he will continue to defend the fiscal and economic policy that “always” has characterized the Community of Madrid, of “low taxes”, absence of “tutelage” and flexibility to “accompany people who with their wealth create employment and move this country”.
“We are going to continue defending the fiscal and economic policies that brought us here and that have turned us into a leading economic power,” stressed the Madrid president.
Díaz Ayuso has insisted on defending liberal policies that attract talent, accompany and help citizens in “all areas of life”, in education, health, commerce and “wherever citizens need help and collaboration on the part of the Administrations and not tutelage, nor directism “, which, in his opinion, contribute to” impoverishment “.
It has conveyed to all citizens who come from any corner of the world to the Community of Madrid to undertake that they are going to do so in a territory of freedom, legal security, business respect and help.
“Wherever possible we will make the administration more flexible, we will eliminate procedures that are anachronistic and that only weigh down entrepreneurship and employment, and we will be firm allies of the agri-food industry and of all the industries that build this country, that create jobs and that are going at times of great difficulty, “he asserted.
