Madeira’s south coast remains on yellow alert until 6 pm

The south coast of Madeira remains under yellow alert until 6 pm, due to the high temperatures. According to the Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), the last day of 2019 will be slightly cloudy in the Region, being marked by some high clouds only in the afternoon.

For New Year’s Eve, where thousands will be watching the show in Funchal, the weather will be mild, with no rain forecast.

North Coast: Northwest waves 1.5 to 2 meters, gradually passing to northeast waves.

South Coast: Southwest waves 1 meter, gradually passing southeast waves.
