The IASAÚDE report for this Saturday reports a new case of infection by Covid-19 in Madeira. This is a tourist, aged 40-49 years, from the Lisbon region, who was tracked at Madeira Airport.
There are now 34 active cases, of which 33 are imported cases identified in the context of the surveillance activities implemented at Madeira Airport. Regarding the isolation of these patients, 25 people are in a hotel, six in their own accommodation, two are hospitalized in the Multipurpose Inpatient Unit dedicated to COVID-19 and one remains in the Intensive Care Unit.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 141 confirmed cases of infection with the new coronavirus in Madeira.
