Maasstad Hospital has to scale down regular care by 35 percent; 20 percent turns out to be insufficient. The influx of new covid patients at the A&E is too great and absenteeism among the own healthcare staff is increasing. ‘Postponing planned care is terrible, but there is no other way,’ says chairman of the board Peter Langenbach.
