Lyon: Just Eat employees deplore their working conditions and go on strike

This Friday, July 15, in Lyon as in several cities in France, the delivery employees of the Just Eat service will be on strike. The gathering in the former capital of the Gauls is scheduled from 7 p.m. at 97 cours Gambetta, in front of the company’s premises in Lyon.

Negotiations started a few months ago with their management yielded no results on the side of the employees, who denounced mediocre wages, infernal working conditions and, even more, the desire of the British company to lay off more than 200 employees at the end of this summer.

On July 11, Just Eat decided to cancel a series of meetings that were to lead to compromises. It is for this reason that this Friday evening, the delivery men decided to be heard.

The latter wish to have a fixed salary increase with a consideration of hardship, to maintain employment on all sites and to have more rest days and paid holidays.
