As a native of Xiangxi, Shen Mengchen also has special feelings for the role of Ximei. She said that in order to perform this play well, she also practiced hard for a period of drumming performance for a long time. At the press conference, she explained the essentials of drumming to everyone and started to demonstrate.
The play is directed by the Propaganda Department of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, and jointly produced by Hunan Satellite TV, Mango SuperMedia, Mango TV, and Tianyu Media under the Hunan Radio and Television Bureau and Hunan Radio and Television Group.
