Alexander Lukashenko did not take part in a working breakfast organized by Russian President Vladimir Putin for a number of leaders of the CIS countries who arrived in Moscow for the May 9 parade. On this drew attention journalists of the Belarusian service of Radio Liberty.
Earlier, Putin, along with guests, went to the flower-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Alexander Garden. They all walked, but Lukashenka approached the President of Russia, and they had a short talk, after which he was driven there in a small electric car.
Telegram channels and media also noticedthat Lukashenka’s right hand was bandaged.
Alexander Lukashenko himself, after the parade and laying flowers, flew to Minsk, informs “Our Niva”. Political scientist Dmitry Bolkunets in his telegram channel claimsthat “Lukashenka, for health reasons, could not attend the meal and left Moscow,” and “he was accompanied to the airport by an ambulance.” There is no official confirmation of this information.
Earlier in Minsk, the laying of flowers at the monument on Victory Square was postponed at 19:00. This ceremony was always held in Minsk on May 9 in the morning, Lukashenka and his sons usually take part in it.
In addition to Lukashenko, the parade in Moscow was attended by the presidents of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, Uzbekistan Shavkat Mizieev, Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
