Lukashenka will receive a tough response from the West if the Russian military breaks into Ukraine from Belarus,

The State Department said: the authorities of Belarus care little about their people, but are worried about the preservation of their regime.

The regime of the Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko will receive a harsh response from the West if Russian troops go from the territory of Belarus to Ukraine. This was stated by the speaker of the US State Department, Ned Price, writes Ukrinform.

“In recent days, we have clearly emphasized (authorities – ed.) Belarus, if it allows the use of its territory for an attack on Ukraine, it will face a decisive and prompt response from the United States, our allies and partners,” the US State Department spokesman said.

Ned Price also noted that in the event of a potential invasion of Ukraine from Belarusian territory, a review of the grouping of NATO forces in countries bordering Belarus will be carried out.

The United States is concerned about the introduction of Russian troops into the territory of Belarus, since Minsk threatens the sovereignty of the republic and undermines the status of an independent state.

“This is further evidence that this regime cares little about its own people, about the state, but most of all cares about the survival and well-being of the regime itself,” the representative of the State Department emphasized.

The Belarusian Foreign Ministry called the statement of the US State Department about the possibility of Russia attacking Ukraine from their territory “an amazing collection of fantasy and horror stories.”

Recall that Belarus will host joint military exercises with Russia “Allied Resolve – 2022”. The military of the Russian Federation and armored vehicles have already begun to arrive in Belarus.
