Indonesia’s Coordinating Maritime Affairs and Investment Minister Luhut Panjaitan, East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa, and Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri appeared on stage during an event on March 19, 2023. The event was held to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of the Indonesian Democratic Party’s founding.

During the event, Panjaitan emphasized the importance of the maritime sector to Indonesia’s economy and expressed optimism about the country’s economic prospects. He noted that Indonesia has launched several infrastructure projects in recent years, such as the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway and the Patimban port, which will be crucial for the country’s economic development.
