Chelsea qualified for the FA Cup semifinals after beating Leicester City, 1-0. The Blues manager, Frank Lampard was furious to make his team win.

Chelsea struggled to beat host Leicester City in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup. The new goal came in the second half, through cheating Ross Barkley in the 63rd minute.

Leucester City offers tough resistance. Jamie Vardy et al threatened Chelsea’s goal several times, especially in the first round.

Frank Lampard also had to overhaul his squad in the second round. Ross Barkley, Mateo Kovacic, and Cesar Azpilicueta were included in order to increase the breaking power.

Reported BT Sport, Ross Barkley the goalscorer admitted the Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard was angry at halftime. Lampard did not like the performance in the first round.

“He didn’t like the first half, it wasn’t like Chelsea were playing,” Barkley said.

That’s when, according to Barkley, Chelsea’s troops were back in good spirits. Lampard gives direction to his players to put more pressure and appear insistent on the field.

“We were asked to be bolder on the pitch. We improved in the second half,” Barkley said.

In the semifinals, Chelsea will face Manchester United on 18 July. FA Cup became one of the targets of Chelsea in order to win a trophy this season.
