Luc De Larochellière reissues Amère America for its 30th anniversary

Saddened to find that, for 15 years, it has been impossible to obtain the album in physical or digital format, Luc De Larochellière took advantage of his 30th anniversary to put it back on the market.

“Last summer, I was in the big Saint-Jean show on the Plains and it was a lot thanks to those songs. I found it a bit ridiculous that people couldn’t have access to the entire album,” explains the singer-songwriter.

He also wants to correct a serious mistake made in 1988 when the first vinyl pressing ofBitter America had been a disaster, technical problems making the sound quality terrible, according to him. “I had listened to that at home and I had started to bawl”, says the musician.

He will go back on stage with the musicians who accompanied him at the time, for a concert included in the program of the Coup de coeur francophone festival, at the Lion d’Or, in Montreal, on November 1.

Luc De Larochellière is not only reminiscing about his past successes as he is working on a second duet album with his wife, Andrea Lindsay.
