Lübeck – On Friday “Day of Young Horses”, on Saturday dressage tests in classes A to S* and on Sunday jumping up to the intermediate class.

The Lübecker Reitertage started again with a full program and also had the weather gods on their side. A new sprinkler system was able to prove its raison d’être and ensured dust-free conditions on all pitches. There was a positive response from both the players and the sponsors, which also motivates the LRV to continue with the existing tournament concept.

A premiere was also the catering organized by the association itself, which became a meeting place for the active members and contributed to a lively exchange of opinions.

Over 250 riders and a total of almost 400 horses enlivened the club’s riding facility at Rittbrook during the three days of the tournament. The first main sporting event was the one-star advanced level dressage scheduled for Saturday evening. 26 participants showed the lessons of task S3 with their horses. However, the three-man jury only agreed on the winner Lea-Sophie Klein (Probsteier RV Schönberg) with the 13-year-old Oldenburg Be Happy on this ride. In the case of the other results, the assessments were sometimes very far apart.

The highlight of the tournament Sunday was the final M-points jumping test. The audience was particularly excited by the riders’ free choice of routes through the course. The goal was to collect as many points as possible within a given time limit. Speed and freedom from mistakes were not necessarily the top priority, but a special tactic when choosing the way through the labyrinth of poles.

The best choice was made by Jenny Kammholz, who competes for RSV Kirch-Mummendorf, with the Mecklenburg mare Quintura (13). In the end she was tied on points with four other starters, but was then ahead with the better time.

After a successful event, the LRV is optimistic about the future, for further projects this year and for the Reitertage 2024.
