LS Group Chairman Koo Ja-eun participated in ‘CES 2024’, the world’s largest electronics and IT exhibition, for the second time since last year from the 9th to the 11th. Chairman Koo has been participating in CES since 2018, and has been attending every year except for the COVID-19 period.
At this CES, LS Group will feature LS Vice Chairman Myung Noh-hyun and SPSX CEO Choi Chang-hee, as well as CTOs from major affiliates such as LS Cable and System, LS Electric and LS MnM, as well as ‘LS Futurists’ who presented the group’s excellent new business ideas and research results last year. About 20 people participated together.
On the first day, Chairman Koo visited Eureka Park to look at innovative technologies of ventures and startups, and on the next day, he visited the exhibition halls of leading domestic and global companies such as Doosan, HD Hyundai, LG, Samsung, and SK. Through this, we directly experienced various new technologies and new products using cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and looked for new business opportunities using them.
In particular, this CES attracted attention with the participation of not only Chairman Koo, but also CTOs of major affiliates and LS Futurists who play a leading role in securing the group’s future technology. Attention was paid to various AI technologies, focusing on ‘Human Security Technology’, the main topic of CES 2024.
Chairman Koo said to the executives and employees who attended the movie, “If you watch the movie Terminator, you may feel vague fear because you don’t know how big the rain and how big the wind will be in a future armed with AI and robots.” “Even if a future like this comes, we will prepare with a business system that can sufficiently respond from a long-term perspective, from as short as 10 years and beyond, through various collaborations and technological innovations such as AI and SW,” he emphasized.
He also said, “Let’s gain insights from CTOs and LS Futurists who have been exposed to global advanced technologies and develop new technologies represented by LS’s original technology and AI, which are the core of the ambidextrous management strategy, to create LS’s own future innovative technology.”
