In addition, the index recorded a decrease for the third month in a row.

Analysts had predicted that the index would decrease to minus 17.9 points.

The decline of the index was facilitated by concerns about the recession of the Eurozone economy, taking into account the fact that the German economy went into recession in the first quarter, according to “Sentix”.

The latest data show that investors’ assessment of the current economic situation has significantly worsened, with this index falling from minus 15.8 points to minus 20.5 points.

Investors’ forecasts for the future economic situation have also worsened, with the relevant index shrinking from minus 18.3 points to minus 24.5 points.

Both investor valuation and forecasts also recorded their lowest level since November 2022.
