Nathalie Volk (26) and Frank Otto (66) have been making headlines since 2015 with their generation-spanning love story, but the couple insisted: We were made for each other. Until rocker Timur A. (45) showed up and turned the young model’s head.
Frank Otto wanted to hold Nathalie
The entrepreneur from Hamburg tried everything to save his relationship with Nathalie, who first found fame as a participant in ‘Germany’s Next Top Model’. Nathalie describes how he fought for her in her book ‘In my own words. A day without lies’, which she presented to the public on Friday (September 15th). Since Timur A. could no longer easily enter Germany because of his criminal record, Nathalie sought to be close to him in Turkey. The second time she flew there, Frank Otto followed her to fight for her. At that point, however, their relationship wasn’t going well anyway, Nathalie had moved out: “I didn’t want to be a burden to anyone. This phase with Frank was difficult anyway,” she recalled, according to “Bild”. But Frank Otto met with her and Timur and implored the young woman: “’He doesn’t love you, he just wants to own you.’”
Nathalie Volk got a second chance
“I kept talking and said that Thomas (as Nathalie calls Timur in her book) loved me and I loved him too,” Nathalie continued in her book. “And that I would live here from now on. Frank looked at me, his eyes turning red, filling up. Were those tears? That was the first time I saw Frank cry. That did something to me. I cried along, but I was determined to start a different life.” And she explained: “Frank understood that he couldn’t stop me. I was the first woman to leave him. But he loved me so much that he let me go. He wanted me to be happy.” After her love for Timur broke up in October 2021, the path was clear for a love comeback – Frank and Nathalie have been happy together again since June 2022. Looking into the future together: “Children are not excluded, I hope, maybe, if I’m lucky, in the future,” said Nathalie Volk on Friday to RTL.
