Lost Worlds to Find – View Info – 2024-05-13 05:40:04

/ world today news/ Ivan Karadachki is a guest in “The Old Carriage” with his jubilee collection of poems

My friend has titled his last collection of poems with selected poems on the occasion of a round anniversary “Lost Worlds”, and when I entered the world of Ivan Karadachki, I gasped with pleasure that this world is beautiful, real, harmonious and lyrical. And as befits this worthy Bulgarian – the arch of his poetic domains is the most sacred – the Motherland. And the man’s confession: “Whoever first called you a corner of Paradise,/ was probably in love like me…” And as if under the line he added: “I never hid this…” And to continue: “I love your springs and winters,/ and your autumns and summers -/ among the thousands of beauties in the world/ I have not met others like you beloved…”
When I thought about the small homeland of my friend Ivan Karadachki, I imperceptibly transported myself to the Kyustendil field, and more precisely – to the village of Sovoliano, where I visited him in his home, sunken in the orchard of Bulgaria, because next door is the Master’s celestial studio – Shishkovtsi. And knowing what a corner of paradise this region is, I nobly envy him that he has a place to live as a white man, away from the metropolitan madhouse. There are his “lost worlds” and he knows very well where he is that they are his paradise. Because in this “chosen” of his, he emphasized what he means in Sofia: “Good people grow old early alone in the apartments next to each other…” He didn’t even keep silent about the latticed windows and doors… That’s why I’ll quote him again:

Everyone has them
his Golgotha
and Achilles
your heel:
sip of happiness
short as life
remorse –
eternal
like death!

This book is his account. It also includes those who over the years have responded to his poetry collections. I am among them. That’s why “Lost Worlds” are to be found. If only because of his honest confession: “I have written about people’s weekdays, let someone else write about the holidays.”

So I scheduled him visiting Faytona, November 20, at 6 p.m.

Welcome to a meeting with a real Poet.
