The star cast for the “Global Citizen” festival on September 25th continues to grow. Jennifer Lopez (52) will be on stage in New York’s Central Park, the organizers announced.
“I can barely wait for it. See you soon NYC! ”Wrote Lopez on Instagram. In the past few weeks, world stars such as Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Shawn Mendes, Usher and the boy group BTS had already been announced.
The event takes place in several cities including New York, Paris, London, Rio de Janeiro and Sydney. A 24-hour show is to be created with concerts and political contributions. The festival promotes more commitment in the fight against poverty and disease and is committed to protecting the climate and the environment.
Lopez also attended Global Citizen’s “Vax Live” concert in May to support a global vaccination campaign against Covid-19. At that time she was performing in a stadium in Los Angeles.
The singer and actress recently celebrated her 52nd birthday on a yacht with Oscar winner Ben Affleck. She posted a snapshot on Instagram in which they kiss deeply. (dpa)
