Lörrach, Kandern: Freiburg regional council renovates drainage pipes on the Röttelner slope on Autobahn 98 between Lörrach-Mitte and Kandern – Towards Weil from June 15, only one lane – opposite direction not affected

As reported by the regional council of Freiburg (RP), a total of 280 drainage lines, which are distributed over the entire reinforced concrete supporting wall on the Röttelner slope between the motorway junctions Lörrach-Mitte and Kandern on the A 98, must be renovated. Therefore, the right lane of the motorway towards Weil am Rhein is closed from Monday, June 15th, until probably early September.

During this time, traffic is passed in the fast lane at the construction site. The traffic towards Lörrach is not affected by the construction work and the narrowing of the carriageway.

The drainage pipes, which are in urgent need of renovation, serve to drain the slope water of the Röttler Hang. After the renovation, the slope water can be drained again without restriction, thus preventing the water from accumulating.

The RP requests understanding for the unavoidable traffic problems during the construction work.
