The mayor of Pontevedra, Miguel Anxo Fernández Lores, accuses the president of the Xunta, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, of “inciting violence” to the Ence workers after the attempted aggression at the Peregrina festivities, and affirms that he will put the facts in the knowledge of the Prosecutor’s Office.

In an interview on Cadena SER, the nationalist councilor explained that he is concerned about the radicalization of the conflict with the pastera, and directly points out Feijóo for inciting violence with his statements about the transfer of the factory. Lores regrets the attitude of the PP and asks the Prosecutor’s Office to act after the latest attempts at aggression by the workers.
On the pandemic, he questions the policy of the Xunta which he accuses of demonizing the hospitality sector. He points out that the most important outbreaks have not occurred in the hospitality industry, and that “it is not reasonable” to always blame the same sector.
The mayor of Pontevedra also criticized the lack of commitment on the part of the autonomous government.
As for his future, he has not made the decision on whether he will run for a seventh term, but he opens that door by ensuring that he is more excited than ever.
In terms of autonomy, it supports the opposition strategy of Ana Pontón, which it sees many possibilities of becoming president of the Xunta in the next elections.
