VIVA techno – The European Space Agency or ESA launches an ambitious project of high-precision three-dimensional mapping of billions of stars and other celestial bodies around the world galaxy Milky Way.

When you think of the Milky Way Galaxy, you might think of stars and planets, or of satellites and asteroids.

Maybe these are the things that often appear in our minds. However, astronomers developed an ambitious project called Gaia.

Using ESA’s Gaia telescope, astronomers study the billions of stars in space. ESA describes Gaia as an “ambitious mission to map our Galaxy, the Milky Way” in three-dimensional format and in the process revealing the composition, formation and evolution of the Galaxy.

Gaia has revealed that there are nearly 10 times more asteroids than we thought in the Solar System. We now know more about the physical properties of the shape, size, color, and movement of the more than 60,000 asteroids.

This information can provide new understanding of what formed the solar system and how evolution has occurred over time German waveWednesday, July 6, 2022.
