Looking back at 17 years of EBEL / Part 11: These were the players with the highest point average in the league: – Hockey-News.info

Today, in our review of 17 years of the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League, we take a look at the most efficient scorers in the league. Patrick Lebeau (Vienna Capitals) scored the most scorer points per game among all players who played at least 50 games. Shortly behind are Todd Elik (Ljubljana and Jesenice) and Pierre Dagenais (Innsbruck Innsbruck) in second and third place. You can find out which cracks have made it into the top 6 of these all-time statistics here.

Patrick Lebeau was the most efficient player in the history of the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League (among the players who played at least 50 games). The Canadian completed 106 games for the spusu Vienna Capitals from 2008 to 2010, posting 159 points – 1.5 points per game.

In his first year at Caps (2008/09) Lebeau led his team to the semi-finals. With 87 points (1,556 points per game) he was not only the most efficient striker of the season, but also absolutely the most points in this season. The following season, Lebeau was particularly convincing in the playoffs. With 22 assists, the Canadian was responsible for most of the goal assists in the postseason.

Nevertheless, the 2010 playoffs will not have fond memories for Caps fans. After a 3-0 lead in the semi-final against the Black Wings Linz, the Viennese finally had to give up 3: 4. It was the only time in the history of the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League that a team failed to advance to the next round after a 3-0 lead.

Todd Elik is just behind Patrick Lebeau with 1.48 points per game. The former NHL-Crak started his career in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League 2005 at the HC TWK Innsbruck. In his second season with the Tyroleans he had his best season with 98 points.

Only Derek Ryan (13/14 for the EC VSV) was able to score even more points in one season (100). However, Elik holds the record of the most points per game in one season (with more than 30 games completed). After two years in Innsbruck, Elik switched to HK Olimpija Ljubljana for one season before playing his last season in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League with Jesenice.

The third most efficient player in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League is Pierre Dagenais. Together with Todd Elik, he formed the most efficient striker duo at the HC TWK Innsbruck in the 2006/07 season. Dagenais only played 27 games this season, but scored 2.11 points per game. Regardless of a minimum number of games in a season, this is the existing record in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League.

Ranks four to six of the most efficient players in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League – with at least 50 games completed – are James Desmarais (2005/06 Innsbruck and 2007 nine games in Linz), Bob Wren, who played most of the games in the top 6 ( 2004-2007 caps and 2012/13 99ers) and Luciano Aquino (2012-2015 Dornbirn and 2015/16 Salzburg).
