Meteorologist Toms Bricis has shared an impressive video on the social network Facebook, which shows a lightning strike in Krāslava and the devastation caused by it.
“At the beginning of the summer, I received an impressive video from Krāslava. There, one of the stunning lightning strikes scared the grave manager Vija Poleva.
It has been almost two months and I have received a message from Mrs Vija. As accidentally as she filmed the lightning strike, she came to the place where lightning struck these days, “writes Bricis.
The video shows that lightning struck the trees – a pine tree, which was actually scratched and burned in its bark and oak, which was less fortunate and which, according to Bricis, is torn to shreds.
The meteorologist reminds everyone once again that it is not safe to seek refuge under trees during a storm. It is best to go indoors, there is the safest.
