London Arsenal vs Brentford 1-0 Match Highlights and Full Match Report

London

Arsenal succeeded in taking a coup at the top of the Premier League standings. This happened after the London Cannon defeated Brentford 1-0.

Brentford vs Arsenal took place at the Gtech Community Stadium, Sunday (26/11/2023) early morning WIB. The Gunners were struggling to cope with the host’s game.

After fighting throughout the match, Arsenal was able to come home with a win. It is Kai Havertz who is the hero.

This result brought Arsenal to the top of the Premier League standings with 3-0 points. Mikel Arteta’s troops passed Manchester City and Liverpool.

The Course of the Match

Brentford almost scored a goal in the 12th minute. Aaron Ramsdale made a blunder when controlling the ball in the penalty box until Yoane Wissa grabbed it.

Wissa then passed the ball to Bryan Mbeumo, who immediately finished with a shot. Luckily for Arsenal, Declan Rice managed to block the ball right on the goal line.

Until half an hour into the match, Arsenal had difficulty making threats against Brentford’s goal. Apart from appearing aggressive, the host was also able to defend tightly.

Ramsdale really didn’t appear focused in this match. He made another mistake in the 37th minute with the intention of throwing the ball to his partner, but it bounced to the ground first. Luckily the Brentford players were unable to take advantage of that.

Arsenal scored a goal in the 42nd minute through Leandro Trossard. The goal was disallowed after being reviewed by VAR because Trossard’s toe was in an offside position when he met the rebound from Gabriel Jesus’ header.

Brentford still defended well in the first 10 minutes of the second half. Arsenal’s attacks from the side of the field with stabs and crosses still did not produce a goal.

Brentford slowly started to get out of the pressure and attack Arsenal. Brentford obtained several opportunities, but Arsenal’s defense was able to help Ramsdale to secure the goal.

Eddie Nketiah fired a shot in the 85th minute. The ball managed to go towards the goal, but goalkeeper Mark Flekken was able to anticipate it.

Arsenal finally scored a goal in the 89th minute. A Bukayo Saka cross at the far post was headed by Kai Havertz. The ball slid through Flekken’s legs.

There were no additional goals in the remaining time. Arsenal also went home with a 1-0 win.
