Vasily again got into a scandal because of his posting on the social network.
Former world champion in three weight divisions Vasily Lomachenko it was marked by another scandalous act. The 34-year-old boxer posted the appeal of the Metropolitan of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate Longin on his Instagram page.
In a video posted by Lomachenko, Longin accuses Ukraine of “starting a war against God, the Church of the Lord and the Ukrainian people”.
“Today the Ukrainian state has started a war against God, against the Church of the Lord and against the Ukrainian people. This is not a fight against evil, this is not a fight against the enemy, brothers, sisters. This is a fight against the Lord God Himself and His Church. They began to vote in the regions, in the districts to stop the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. It means to stop the Lord. Such crazy people have never been seen in the history of our Church and the Orthodox faith, ” he says Longin in the video.
“We have the opportunity to show how faithful we are to our Heavenly Father and our Mother Church, whether we are truly Orthodox, whether we truly believe in God and how devoted we are to Him. As they say, friends are known in trouble, so “Today, a true Orthodox will show himself at the most difficult moment for our church. Today we have been given a wonderful opportunity to prove whether we are worthy of eternal life in the Kingdom of God. Peace to all, ”wrote Lomachenko under the video.
In the comments under this publication, the subscribers rightly “shattered” the boxer: “Booooh, it’s over”, “SBU, please come to him for confession”, “The bottom is full of holes”, “His head has been completely detached.”
On December 11, the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) imposed personal sanctions against seven bishops of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate. Among others, Metropolitan of Zaporozhye and Melitopol UOC MP Luka (Andriy Kovalenko) was included in the sanctions list.
By this decision he was barred from the use of assets, drawing capital abroad, restricted trading and other property-related transactions, and also deprived him of all state awards.
