Three drivers were caught in a high-speed offense by the Departmental Road Safety Squadron (EDSR), Sunday, March 27, after the gendarmes’ radar recorded peaks at 179, 180 and 189 km / h.
It must be said that it was on a section of road limited to… 80 km/h, on the RD 498 between Andrézieux-Bouthéon and Estivareilles. Their vehicles were confiscated: they were two Porsches and a Golf. In total, during the control operation carried out that day, the gendarmes carried out 28 reports and four license withdrawals.
Among these withdrawals, a driver who had just recovered his license the same morning, after a six-month suspension for… narcotics. Note that drivers whose vehicles have been seized will now have to claim them when they are tried in court.
