“The Local Arts Fairs, for their version in Teusaquillo, are an alliance with the District Network of Public Libraries of Bogotá, BibloRed, and it is an initiative of District Institute of the Arts – Idartes that points to the cultural reactivation for the times. This not only implies promoting the circulation of artistic projects, but also the reconfiguration and opening of safe spaces of encounter between artists, their audiences and peers for the exchange of knowledge. It is in this dialogic exercise that communities are built ”, explains Catalina Valencia Tobón, director of Idartes.

“From BibloRed, within the framework of our 20th birthday, we linked ourselves to the Local Arts Fairs with guests of the stature of Pilar Quintana and a range of workshops for the boys and girls of the capital; all with the necessary protocols to guarantee a safe experience for visitors. Likewise, for those who cannot get close to the Virgilio Barco Public Library, we will have virtual programming to connect from anywhere in the world “, says Consuelo Gaitán, director of BibloRed.

The next Fairs will take place in La Candelaria, in the Santa Fe Gallery, and they go from August 13 to 22, and in Ciudad Bolívar, at the El Ensueño Theater, in November of this year.
