LNSO will perform in Rezekne with Mozart and Beethoven music program / Day

The first part of the evening will feature Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s 23rd piano concert and operas The magic flute overture. In the second part, the LNSO will offer an interpretation of Ludwig van Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony.

The soloist of the concert, pianist Arta Arnicāne, is a laureate of sixteen performing arts competitions. The ability to captivate the audience and create a special atmosphere has ensured the musician’s active concert activities in Europe, mainly in Switzerland, which the artist has chosen as her place of residence. Arta combines music on a contemporary piano with an ancient hammer piano, bringing to life the music of Viennese classics and early romanticism in an authentic sound.

Maestro Michael Balke studied conducting at the Cincinnati Conservatory (USA). He collaborates with the symphony orchestra Yomiuri Nippon In Tokyo, the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra and other ensembles in various countries. 2018/2019 Michael Balke began working as the principal guest conductor at the St. Gallen Theater and Symphony Orchestra in Switzerland. He has performed Giuseppe Verdi’s opera in Riga Traviata record with soprano Marina Rebecca in the title role.

Last year, the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra met with listeners in Rēzekne several times – both at the festival LNSO summer house, and Egils Siliņš ‘anniversary concert in December. This year’s LNSO concerts Gora will be special, because in the Great Guild – the rehearsal and concert venue of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra – in the second half of February, repair work will begin and symphonic concerts in the regions will take place more often than before.
