The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) has completed its study on the corona pandemic in Kupferzell (Hohenlohekreis). We will accompany the press conference on the results in the live stream on Friday morning.
From May 20 to June 9, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) in Kupferzell (Hohenlohekreis) examined and interviewed more than 2,100 residents. They were given throat swabs and blood samples were drawn. The participants had to fill out a questionnaire on previous illnesses, income or habits. “A great success” was what the District Office called the high level of willingness of the population.
Originally, the RKI wanted to announce the results of the corona study in Kupferzell in July. But the schedule could not be kept. But now the time has come: on Friday the scientists will present their findings on the tests on the population of Kupferzell.
Understand the spread of the coronavirus
The examination in the former infection hotspot is one of the first of a total of four local corona studies. With the knowledge gained, the RKI is trying to better understand how the virus spreads and with what consequences for those affected.
