The right wing’s old teammate and good friend, Dejan Lovren, now reveals in an interview with the Egyptian TV channel Sada El Balad, reproduced by Egypt Today, that he took revenge on Ramos a few months later in a national match between Croatia and Spain.
– If I deliberately beat Ramos after he hurt Salah? Yes, it may be possible. I do not want to make a big deal, but I think that Ramos’ intentions were to hurt my friend, so it was time he got his punishment, Lovren says.

– Was much better than Real Madrid before the injury
Liverpool opened the final fresh, but got heavier after Salah left the field. Lovren believes that it may have made the difference that night in Kiev.
– We played so much better than Real Madrid before Salah was injured. His injury was a big blow for us, and after that, they started to dominate the match, says Lovren.
In any case, the Croatian is impressed with the way his former teammate got up in the weeks after the final, and joined Egypt for the World Cup in Moscow where he scored the national team’s two goals.
– Salah made a great effort to return from the injury to play in the World Cup with the Egyptian national team.
When Lovren is then asked what his teammate said after learning about the elbow blow, he is a bit secretive, even though he reveals Salah’s immediate reaction.
