Liverpool football legend Kenny Dalglish was released from the hospital after his positive corona test. The medical staff in the clinic were “absolutely brilliant”, the 69-year-old praised at the Sunday Post. “As a nation, we are all very happy to have them. I wish them all the best because they work tirelessly to help the country through this pandemic. ”

The Scot had been routinely tested for COVID-19 during a hospital stay, and on Friday he made the infection public. Until then, he had shown no symptoms.

Kenny Dalglish was one of the defining figures in the great era of Liverpool FC, as a player, player coach and team manager. With the Reds, the current club of German team manager Jürgen Klopp, the striker, who was the successor to star player Kevin Keegan, won the European Cup three times (1978, 1981 and 1984) and won the championship eight times.

Dalglish was on the grass even on the darkest days in LFC club history. At the 1985 European Cup final in Brussels’ Heysel Stadium against Juventus (0-1), barriers were broken through in the event of spectator riots by Liverpool fans. 39 people were killed and around 400 others injured. After that season, Dalglish became a player and team manager. In this role, he was also involved in the Hillsborough disaster on April 15, 1989 with 96 deaths and 766 injuries.

Queen Elizabeth II knighted Dalglish in June 2018, and a grandstand at Anfield has been named after him since 2017.
