Liverpool City Council guarantees a master parade

After the much-anticipated title win in the Premier League

The city council promised the club and fans a championship parade “as soon as this is certain” to celebrate a “great moment in club history”.

For the first time since 1990, the Reds have won the championship title at Merseyside again – it was the first Premier League title ever. It is only logical that a moment has to be celebrated for eternity in line with the status quo. However, some conditions still have to be met in the Corona crisis.

A triumphal parade, such as that in which Liverpool won the UEFA Champions League in 2019, is not yet feasible. However, Liverpool City Council has confirmed that there are plans to host one for the new “Champions of England”.

“As soon as this is certain, we are planning a parade to celebrate this great moment for the city and its people,” said Tony Reeves (Chief Executive of Liverpool Council) to journalist Andy Hunter from The Guardian.

A spokeswoman for the city council also confirmed the plans to the Liverpool Echo: “We are currently reviewing plans so that the title win can be fully celebrated. There will definitely be a parade as soon as the country relaxes and the infection rate of the coronavirus largely drops. ”

When the Klopp men won the premier class last summer, over 750,000 fans flooded the streets of Liverpool. Given the importance of the championship title, those responsible expect at least one million people.

In addition, Klopp, Jordan Henderson and Liverpool boss Tom Werner made a promise that there will be a triumph. The only question is when?
