At least five people were killed on Tuesday in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg by a fire in a hospital for corona patients. About 150 patients and employees were brought to safety.
The fire broke out in an intensive care unit on the sixth floor of the clinic. The victims are patients who were on a ventilator. Presumably, one of these respirators caught fire due to overload. The hospital was redesigned in mid-March to treat people with the coronavirus.
On Sunday evening, nine people died in a fire at a hospice in Krasnogorsk, about 20 kilometers west of Moscow. Saturday night there was a fire in a hospital where corona patients are treated in Moscow. As a result, a patient was killed.
