Olivier Véran is visiting Nice this Saturday morning. The Minister of Health is coming to meet professionals in a department particularly affected by the second wave of the coronavirus. The Alpes-Maritimes is the department where the incidence rate of the virus is highest in mainland France, with nearly 600 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. An even higher rate in Nice, 751 per 100,000 inhabitants, which makes it the most affected metropolis in France.

The program of his visit: The Minister of Health is adding to his program a visit to the intensive care unit of the Hospital l’Archet

  • 9:30 am: Olivier Véran has arrived. The Minister of Health will add to his program a passage in the resuscitation service of the Archet hospital in Nice.
  • 10am: with health professionals in the Moulins district.

Olivier Véran meets the carers of the CPTS, the territorial professional health community, Nice Vallée in the Moulins district. This type of center welcomes all the health players in a region: doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, specialists … to streamline patient care.

  • 11am: with healthcare professionals from l’Archet hospital

The Minister of Health then went to l’Archet hospital. The heads of the infectious disease department of the Nice University Hospital will present him with the care of patients with coronavirus, then Olivier Véran visits the immunology department and must discuss with a patient suffering from a long form of Covid.

The ministerial visit ends in a vaccination center in downtown Nice, where a new exchange with caregivers is planned.
