ANTARIKSA — Today, Saturday, October 14 2023, the Moon will pass between the Earth and the Sun, resulting in a ring solar eclipse. However, the ring of fire eclipse will only be seen by those located throughout the United States.
NASA will conduct live monitoring of the annular solar eclipse starting at 11:30 EDT or 22.30 WIB. The difference between daylight in the US and night in Indonesia is the answer to why we didn’t feel the solar eclipse directly this time.
However, there is no need to be discouraged because NASA will broadcast the results of its observations live in real time.
A ring solar eclipse occurs when the Moon is at its farthest point from Earth. Because the Moon is farther away than during a total solar eclipse, the Moon appears smaller and does not completely block all of the Sun’s light when it passes in front of our star.

In contrast, the Moon leaves the bright light of the sun circular like a ring. The ring of fire effect will be perfect at the peak of the eclipse.

This eclipse will be visible along a narrow band stretching from Oregon to Texas in the US. Beyond this path, people in contiguous US territories, as well as Puerto Rico and parts of Alaska and Hawaii, will see a partial solar eclipse. Source: NASA
