Marina, the wife of Alexander Litvinenko, deplores the ongoing war and reveals who she thinks is even worse in the Kremlin than Putin, according to The Sun.
“Before his death, my husband said in an article: If you don’t stop Putin, he could start a nuclear war. He said that if you don’t stop these people, it could lead to World War III. He believed that Putin would be stopped, but here we we are, 16 years later, “Marina Litvinenko told British journalists.
Marina warned that Putin is not the only dangerous person in the Kremlin, there are other potentially horrific tyrants ready to take over.
One of the figures she described as “unimaginably worse” than Putin is Nikolai Patrushev, secretary of the Russian Security Council and former director of the FSB.
She described Putin as a “crazy man” and said Patrushev could rank either as his successor or be replaced if Putin were forced to seek treatment temporarily and was unable to take the lead.
Marina accused Patrushev of several apartment bombings in Russia blamed on Chechen terrorists and used by Putin to strengthen his power in 1999.
Marina is pessimistic and does not think the uprising in Russia could take place, but called for the country to be further isolated. “As a Russian, I am saddened to lose my country again,” she said. Marina said the sanctions were “extraordinary,” but added, “Unfortunately, it’s too late.” She claimed that her homeland should have been sanctioned much earlier.
