Lithuania textile company “Utenos trikotažas” has opened the first specialized store in Latvia. The store opened in Daugavpils will sell “Utenos” and “About” brand clothes created by the company and manufactured in Lithuania. This is the company’s first franchise store outside Lithuania, informs “Utenos trikotažas”.

Petrs Jašinsks, General Director of Utenos Trikotažas, says that he has managed to find partners in Daugavpils who bought the Utenos Trikotažas franchise. “So far in Utena, where the company’s factory and clothing store operate, we have welcomed many buyers from Latvia – we already know our clothes in Latvia.”
In recent years, “Utenos trikotažas” has developed a franchise package – in accordance with international market standards, updated the brand, radically changed the interior concept of the store, improved the business model and marketing activities.
According to Jashinski, the franchise model has been chosen for the development of the “Utenos trikotažas” store network for several reasons – faster development opportunities and cost efficiency. “Our franchise store network in Lithuania is consistently growing. Given that we export most of our products and the company’s main forces are focused on order production, the franchise model helps us to efficiently allocate resources and ensure sustainable store network development,” adds Jašinsks.
There are currently 18 Utenos trikotažas stores in Lithuania, most of which operate on the basis of a franchise agreement.
Utenos Trikotažas manufactures to order and manages two retail brands – Utenos and About. The “About” brand develops the “About Baltic Underwear” and “About The Sensology of Wear” lines. Utenos Trikotažas also owns Shatrija, Gotija and Mrija (Ukraine). 92.31% of Utenos trikotažas shares are managed by SBA group.
