Listen! “Sweet Faces” publishes a September song – Music

The ensemble “Sweet Faces” with the song “September” opens a new musical project “12”, the essence of which is to publish one new song on the first day of each month for a year. Each new song will be dedicated to the current month.

The authors of the song “September” are the members of the group “Saldās sejas” Tomass Kleins and Guntars Račs, but it was produced in the studio by Gints Stankevičs. Shots and similar products are nothing new, at least for Ratch – as you know, two parts of his collection of poems “365” have become hugely popular, with one poem dedicated to each day. In turn, other songwriters who are not members of the group have also agreed to participate in the creation of the album “12”, offering songs written especially for this album. The group has already agreed that the song “October” will be written by the producer and the song “Two Angels”, “Believe it or not” and the author of other popular compositions Gints Stankevičs, but the song “November” will be prepared by the composer Jānis Lūsēns. Raimonds Pauls, Uldis Marhilevičs, Kārlis Būmeisters, Ainars Virga, Artūrs Palkevičs and others have also responded to the invitation to write new songs.

The acoustic version of the new song “September” will be heard in Guntars Račs’ author’s evenings “Love is” dedicated to this year’s “Poetry Days”, which will take place in culture houses and libraries in September and October throughout Latvia. The closest of them will be in Trikāta (September 8), Limbaži (September 9), Madona (September 10), Valle (September 15), Lugažu manor (September 18) and Aknīste (September 19).

The ensemble’s “small line-up” with soloists perform at these events. It should be reminded that experienced Guntars Račs, Tomass Kleins, Uģis Tirzītis and Andris Alviķis, as well as young musicians and singers Jānis Narkevics Jr. and Katrīna Bindere. The band has released two albums and given more than 50 concerts in various Latvian concert halls and stages.
