The song announces a new album by the band, which, according to the band members, is this time in an ironic mood, and it will definitely be one of the most joyful songs on the upcoming album.

The author of the lyrics and music of the song is “Willow Farm” leader Emil Dreiblat.

“A little self-irony, a little nostalgia for the ‘old, good times’, which, fortunately, will never return. Rituals and traditions come and go, there is no point in holding them with power. Sometimes it’s time to say goodbye to friends or those who do. “Everything flows and changes, nothing stands still,” admits the songwriter, adding: “Besides, it seemed just fun to turn a trivial colloquial phrase into a song.”

The song “Why don’t you come to my yard to smoke anymore?” recorded in Liepaja, studio “Lighthouse”, it was mixed by the group ‘s guitarist and producer of the sound of the upcoming album Jānis Dreiblats, but mastered by Gints Sola. The author of the video of the song is Sīmanis Martuzāns, who has previously collaborated with “Willow Farm” in creating a clip for the song “To become happy”.

Initially, “Willow Farm” planned to release their fifth studio album this autumn, but due to the changing situation in the country and limited opportunities to celebrate the release of the record, it was decided to pause a bit and wait for a more appropriate moment.

“The album is basically two-thirds ready, but it will only benefit a little more time. That’s why we took a break to evaluate what has been done so far and prepare for the last works,” says Dreiblat. “And it doesn’t make sense to release a record if the concert possibilities are limited – we still want to meet our listeners and play live.”

Willow Farm’s previous album “The World is Everything That Happens” was released in February 2020.
