So far, it has been reported that 3 Omicron patients have died in Indonesia. Minister of Health (Menkes) Budi Gunadi Sadikin explained the clinical conditions of three patients exposed to the Omicron variant who died.
When viewed from the age, the three patients died were both over 60 years old. Here are the details:
- The patient is a 64 year old male, has comorbid heart failure, diabetes mellitus, acute kidney failure. Not vaccinated yet. Died January 12, 2022.
- The 54 year old patient had obesity, diabetes mellitus, and hypertension. Been vaccinated twice. Died January 22, 2022.
- The patient aged 78 years has comorbid heart disease, has been vaccinated with booster. Died January 20, 2022.
“One person has not been vaccinated at all, so the conclusion is that it should be distributed to the community, let’s get the vaccine quickly,” he ordered at a press conference Friday (27/1/2022).
Additional information, the Minister of Health also explained the vaccination status of patients exposed to the Omicron variant in Indonesia. It was stated that there were patients who had not been vaccinated and there were also patients who had received a booster. According to the Ministry of Health’s records, there are 854 Omicron patients who have been vaccinated. Here are the details:
- 650 patients of whom have received 2 complete doses
- 64 new patients received one dose of vaccine
- Another 41 patients have received boosters
- 99 patients have not been vaccinated.
