Filmmaker Chad Stahelski previously hinted at developing a new John Wick franchise, and It has now been confirmed moving forward at Lionsgate. Despite the apparent demise of Keanu Reeves’ iconic assassin character in John Wick: Chapter 4, it has been confirmed that the series is moving forward, with the studio actively seeking potential streamers and networks for distribution.
The new John Wick series will closely follow “The Continental”
The company’s vice president, Michael Burns, shared information about the new project during a question and answer session at the Morgan Stanley media conference: “I think we will take one of our big action franchises starring Keanu Reeves, I think it will be a television series,” he says.
John Wick series recently confirmed, according to Deadline reported, closely follows the prequel series “The Continental,” which consisted of three one-and-a-half-hour films. You can watch the series on Amazon Prime Video with this 30 day free trial period .
