The summit of the Conference League was the first time to bring together AS Roma with Feyenoord Rotterdam. The match took place at the Albanian Water Stadium, Tirana, Albania on Thursday (26/05/2022) early morning WIB, with kick-off time at 02:00 WIB.
Both teams are targeting to come out as champions. Because, it’s been a long time since neither AS Roma nor Feyenoord have tasted the title in the competition between clubs in Europe.
AS Roma last tasted a European title in 1961, in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup which became the forerunner of the UEFA Cup or what is now known as the Europa League. At that time, Roma came out as champions by winning 2-4 on aggregate over Birmingham City.

Feyenoord are eyeing a fourth European title. After winning the 1969/1970 European Champions Cup by beating Celtic 2-1 or what is currently known as the Champions League.
Feyenoord have also won the UEFA Cup or Europa League twice. In 1974 it was won by beating Tottenham Hotspur and in 2002 when it beat Borussia Dortmund.
AS Roma and Feyenoord both started their journey in the Conference League quite well. Both teams came out as group winners.
Before qualifying for the final match, AS Roma managed to beat Vitesse, Bodø/Glimt and Leicester City. From a total of 12 matches, Roma only lost twice, won 7 and drew three. Both defeats were felt when Roma faced Bodø/Glimt in the group stage and in the quarter-finals.
Feyenoord are unbeaten from a total of 12 matches, which included defeating FK Partizan, Slavia Prague and Olympique Marseille in the knockout stages.
Weaknesses and Strengths of Both Teams
Of the 28 goals in the Conference League, Arne Slot’s team scored 26 goals through open play. AS Roma should be wary of that record, because of the 15 times they have conceded 14 goals against the goal came from the opponent’s open game scheme.
Roma also have something to look out for Feyenoord. Jose Mourinho’s squad was quite slick through the set-piece scheme.
The Giallorossi have scored six goals from corners and Feyenoord have conceded three goals from that, a record so far this season.
