Line 2 | MTC will start construction of Vista Alegre station in Ate Vitarte

The Minister of Transport and Communications, Carlos Estremadoyro, on Friday supervised the delivery of the land for the construction of the future Vista Alegre station of the Metro Line 2, located at the intersection of Nicolás Ayllón and Vista Alegre avenues in the district of Ate Vitarte.

Estremadoyro was able to verify that the physical spaces where the works will be carried out are free of any type of interference. The works for the construction of this station must begin within a maximum period of two weeks, after the total closure of the land.

During the afternoon, the minister also handed over the land for the construction of the ventilation and emergency well No. 2, located at the intersection of the avenue Oscar Benavides (former Colonial avenue) and avenida Alfredo Palacios in Callao.

The delivery of the area destined for the construction of the Cangallo station is scheduled for next Monday, which will be at the intersection of 28 de Julio and Cangallo avenues in La Victoria.

From the MTC they indicated that the enabling of these workspaces will facilitate the opening of new fronts that will allow intensifying the works for the construction of the future Line 2 of the Lima and Callao Metro from September.

The minister indicated on the eve that for the first quarter of 2021 the tests of the first 5 kilometers of the route of Line 2 would begin and then put it at the service of the citizens.

Meanwhile, it is expected that the complete work that goes from Callao a Ate, start its operation during the first half of 2025, according to the established schedule.
