Linda de Mol is working with screenwriter Frank Houtappels and director Wil Koopman on a new film. This is a Dutch version of the Italian tragicomedy Perfetti Sconosciuti from 2016, the management of De Mol confirms to NU.nl, after reporting it AD.
De Mol will also play a role in the film. The names of the other actors will be announced later. “The luxury of being allowed to make a film every now and then makes me so happy.”
The actress and presenter can currently be seen in cinemas with April, May and June, for which she also collaborated with Koopman and Houtappels.
Perfetti Sconosciuti revolves around a group of seven friends who decide during a dinner to share every message they receive with their table companions. They do this to prove that they do not hide anything from each other. During the evening, the seven friends learn more and more about each other and secrets are revealed.
The film, released in the Netherlands under the title Perfect Strangers, won prizes at the Tribeca Film Festival, among others. It also became Perfetti Sconosciuti Nine times nominated for Italian film prizes Premi David di Donatello.
