Lily-Rose Depp candid about growing up with famous parents: “My childhood was different” | Showbiz

“I’ve always dreamed of roles like this,” confesses Depp. “This is the most meaningful and important project I’ve ever done and the one I’m most proud of.” The young star will soon star in the HBO series ‘The Idol’, a role that can really catapult her to stardom.

Being in the spotlight, on the other hand, is nothing new for the young model. Lily-Rose is therefore known as ‘daughter of’. Her famous parents are none other than ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ actor Johnny Depp and French singer Vanessa Paradis.

Lily-Rose is only too aware that there is currently a discussion going on about ‘the children of famous people’, who are said to be spoiled with ‘privileges’. “I’m very careful about these kinds of conversations, but I feel like my parents did their very best to give me the most ‘normal childhood’ they could give. I am very aware of the fact that my childhood was not like anyone else’s. But at the same time, it’s all I know, so I had to find comfort in it somehow. I’m really lucky to be surrounded by people who value normalcy and who value real life. I think that’s the only way to exist in this world and not go crazy.”

“My parents are artists, so I was always encouraged to explore what I wanted to explore. I’ve always loved putting on a show, ever since I was a little girl. I dressed up and danced around.”

The series ‘The Idol’ is expected in the course of 2023.
