Ellen Deforges? We knew her thirty years ago as a tea seller, a refined decorator, a poet of dried bouquets, jams and honeys, herbs and herbal teas, with her samovar enthroned in the center of her shop, dripping on the floor, treating us to her peach/pear mix, orange, grapefruit and lemon, fig, grape and quince for autumn, not forgetting his Ceylon mix for winter. It was 1990, in the “Pudlowski Guide to Gourmet Cities” (Albin Michel, Gutenberg of the Practical Book).

He expanded his home, which looked like something out of a Lewis Caroll story. He has developed his range of crockery, bowls, plates, bowls, with his beautiful and sober collections, most often made in Japan. In short, he seduces with force, transmitted by a female and expert team, all in the exquisite rue de la Monnaie, in the heart of old Lille. It’s the devil if you don’t find the gift of the moment to give there, like an object of the heart.
